I’m an American-Canadian Immunologist based in Ontario with a passion for advancing patient-centred healthcare through research, advocacy, and the arts. I completed my academic training and certifications at Western University and Harvard University, where I combined scientific inquiry with a strong commitment to mental health advocacy. During my time at Western, I championed initiatives that expanded access to culturally responsive mental health services for thousands of students, shaping campus-wide policies to improve care equity.
My research spans diverse areas of immunology, including cognition during ICU recovery, macrophage regulation in pneumonia, and strategies to enhance transplant outcomes. Guided by a vision of equitable healthcare, I focus on translating scientific discovery into clinical solutions that empower patients and communities.
Outside the lab, I’m a lifelong violist and fine artist. I hold a diploma from The Royal Conservatory of Music and performed for over a decade in classical, competitive, and therapeutic settings. Through my artwork, I explored how creativity fosters healing, resilience, and human connection. My visual art supported cancer research fundraising initiatives and inspired interdisciplinary conversations at the intersection of medicine, music, and art.
Whether in the research lab or community, I aim to blend scientific expertise with empathy and advocacy to elevate underrepresented voices and drive meaningful change. If my work resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.
